  1. SUPPORT DURING THE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS
    7-Eleven wants to help you make an informed decision on your future. We will discuss every aspect of the business with you, from team member training to lifestyle changes, as well as introduce you to other franchisees who can give you first-hand information and advice.

  2. COST-EFFECTIVE ENTRY PRICE
    7-Eleven has one of the lowest initial Franchise Fee (depending on the store’s performance) and Working Capital in the retail convenience industry.

  3. STORE LOCATION AND AVAILABILITY
    7-Eleven buys or leases the site. Initial site development cost, which include renovations, fixtures and store equipment are borne by 7-Eleven. The store is then managed by 7-Eleven for at least a year, producing an actual Profit & Loss (P&L) indication. Potential franchisees can evaluate the P&L statements prior to making an investment. The franchisee then takes over a fully equipped 7-Eleven store with an existing track record. Stores are available across the island.

  4. FRANCHISEE TRAINING
    A comprehensive training program (12 weeks) has been instituted to ensure franchisees learn how to operate and manage a 7-Eleven store independently. Your training will include in-house administration, operations, management and team member training. Our training program has been structured such that our team member will be beside you in all the initial stages of opening your store. Whenever you need us, we will be there to help you.

  5. TEAM SELECTION AND TRAINING
    7-Eleven stores employ a minimum of 4 to 6 team members. Selecting and employing the right people to run a successful business is a big task. That’s why we provide you with team member recruitment criteria and guidelines, along with complimentary training.

  6. WE’RE ALWAYS RIGHT BESIDE YOU
    Our Operations Department will work with you throughout your franchise term and be involved in all aspects of your business, including a designated Area Manager who will support your day-to-day needs.

  7. REGULAR VISITS FROM SUPPORT OFFICE TEAM MEMBERS
    A dedicated Area Manager will visit your store on a regular basis every week. They will help coach you to improve your sales, profitability and general management along with improving communications and standards. This not only helps you, but also ensures the Support Office is always aware of your requirements.

7-ELEVEN SUPPORT OFFICE
Based in Tampines Retail Park, the Support Office boasts a team of highly skilled team members who work hard to help you grow your business in areas including:

The team advises you on any operational or administrative queries. Each 7-Eleven store is allocated a dedicated Area Manager (AM) who visits franchisees and stores throughout the year, providing advice and guidance regarding the operation and profitability of your store.

TRAINING PROGRAM
7-Eleven franchisees will attend a 12-week comprehensive training program. In two of the 12 weeks, you will spend time in our Learning & Development training class where you will learn the basics of shift operations and management of a 7-Eleven store. For six of the 12 weeks, you will be placed in a store with an existing Corporate Store Manager who will mentor you as you learn the day-to-day operations as well as how to best serve your customers through our Customer Service and Upselling Techniques programs. In the remaining 4 weeks, you will be placed in your selected store to franchise to better understand and gain insights into the customer demographics and opportunities available in the location. In addition to this training program, our Corporate Store Manager will spend an additional two weeks with you providing support in the initial stages when you begin your store operations.

MARKETING & MERCHANDISING
7-Eleven has a pool of talented and dedicated Marketing & Merchandising teams to develop national strategies. Our teams develop new products, superior promotions, public relations, e-business strategies and works closely to support our franchisees.

4. BECOME A FRANCHISEE

THE PROCESS

  1. INTRODUCTORY PACKAGE
    Upon receiving 7-Eleven’s Franchise pack, we recommend you read the information contained therein to fully understand our franchise system.

  2. YOUR QUERIES

  3. FRANCHISE APPLICATION SUBMISSION
    Once you have full understood all the necessary conditions, please submit the application form which can be downloaded from our website at www.7-eleven.com.sg/franchise for our evaluation. Within two weeks’ time we will keep you informed if you have been successfully shortlisted to attend our exclusive Franchise Presentation for more information on our franchise business.

  4. ASSESSMENT
    Once you are selected to attend the Franchise Presentation, we will continue to assess your suitability to become a 7-Eleven franchisee. This will be conducted through our Feedback Form and Personal Interviews.

  5. REVIEW
    From here, once you have been selected as a 7-Eleven franchisee, we will provide you with a list of 7-Eleven stores that are available for franchise together with their respective P&L for your review.

  6. TRAINING
    Once you have made a selection of the 7-Eleven store to franchise, we will provide you with a disclosure document to attend the Franchisee Training Program and collect a SGD$5,000 Training Deposit.

  7. TAKING OVER A 7-ELEVEN STORE
    Two weeks before the completion of your training program, you will be required to present a Business Plan to CEO, 7-Eleven. Upon approval of your Business Plan, you will need to furnish the full payments for the Franchise Fee (SGD$40,000 to SGD$300,000) and either, Partial Working Capital (SGD$40,000) and a Bankers’ Guarantee (SGD$60,000) OR Full Working Capital (SGD$100,000). Together with the payments, you will enter into an agreement with 7-Eleven by signing the Standard Franchise Agreement document and furnish particulars for a Witness and Guarantor. Upon completion of all payments and execution of the Agreement, you will take over the selected franchise store on the 1st of the month.
